Low-lying building entrances or driveways are usually the first points of entry for floods and heavy rain. During the construction phase of this new hotel building in Düsseldorf, everything pointed to the fact that even here, far away from the Rhine, well-designed flood protection makes sense.
The basement of the building was flooded. The cause was heavy rain, which caused the nearby Düssel and its neighboring waters to overflow and first flooded the lower rooms of the parking garage.
The client decided quickly and ordered the proven WP WASTO flood protection system.

Flooding due to heavy rain in the Märkischer Kreis. In Menden, Lendringsen and Fröndenberg individual districts were flooded.

Our partner Carl Spaeter Hamburg maintains the largest WP Profile warehouse in northern Germany. On the occasion of a visit, the new primer plant for profiles, sheets and tubes was presented.
The fully automated production flow from blasting to priming is impressive. This means that the freshly primed products can be transported to the customer on the truck after just one hour.

The range of profile cross-sections was completed with the T-shape WP 4040/20 T. Together with the WP 4040/20 L and WP 980518, innovative constructions for architecture and garden design in Corten steel are possible. In addition to the well-known WP PROFILES, further cross-sections in square and rectangular shapes made of Corten steel are in preparation.
The same dimensions from the stock programme of WP PROFILE have also been successfully offered in stainless steel 1.4301 for several years.
